How does online coaching work?


Online coaching with Practice Nutrition & Movement is a simple process: Easy-to-use online platform You will receive an email invitation from us to join the coaching programme and create your account on your own private dashboard. Small yet powerful practices to improve everyday life Practices and check-ins - we will work on a new practice every one - two weeks, complemented by supporting resources designed to help you get results. Along with nutrition and movement, you will also be able to develop healthy practices across every aspect of your life: from sleep and stress-management to movement, deep health and mindfulness. These new practices will help you feel more calm, confident, and prepared for each day. We will check in with you to see how you are doing and to answer any questions you have. You can message us through your private dashboard whenever you need. We keep track of how you feel you managed your practice, measurements and other metrics to see just how much progress you have made. We keep it simple and want this journey to be enjoyable for you.




Can I pause?


Our system has been designed with the expectation that life happens – holidays, work trips, unexpected breaks due to illness, periods of busy-ness at work/school/home …

The thought process of feeling that you have failed because you have not done everything 100% is a easy way to sabotage your plans for improved nutrition, health, and fitness.

Instead of following a challenging programme when the conditions are perfect, we build skills that allow you to adjust instead of pressing pause.

There is never going to be a moment when things are perfectly aligned - we can still make progress towards our health and fitness no matter what is going on in our lives.

Consistency is key to your lasting success.




What does coaching for deep health mean?


Rather than a programme of rules, Practice Nutrition offers a programme that moves towards deeper self-awareness. Deep health is when all domains of health are in sync. This is a holistic approach to your health and wellbeing - and depends on proper nutrition, stress management, better sleep, movement and a deeper connection to your community. All areas of deep health are entwined and connected, improving in one domain can also improve others.

Holistic health, considers the multi-dimensional thriving of a whole person in their whole life and will be unique to each person.




Will I get a meal plan?


Meal plans and diets are not useful or sustainable for most people. The nature of meal plans suggests that you must eat perfectly or you have failed and you are either 'on' one of 'off' one. In reality, meal plans don't take into account your busy life - meetings, children’s programmes, meals out, dogs that need walking, cars that break down, family members that get ill, etc. Together we focus on skills such as:
Planning your grocery shopping, choosing the right items from the store, storing and preparing food correctly, eating slowly and mindfully, tuning into hunger and appetite cues, avoiding problem foods; and choosing better options when out or on holiday. Practices will also help you develop new skills so that you can make better nutrition and lifestyle choices - taking into account your unique schedule, priorities, belief system, food preferences and food tolerances.
We do however love cooking and sharing recipes, so if you need some help here we will send you some tried and tested favourites.




What is Practice Nutrition & Movement's dietary philosophy?


While meal-plan approaches require you to choose between vegan, Paleo, Mediterranean, or other “labeled” diets, a practice based approach does not force this choice. I believe that a healthy diet is based on: · whole, minimally processed foods; · mostly vegetables; · enough protein to meet your needs; · a healthy mix of different fats; · plenty of water; and · carbohydrates based on activity levels. You will be given the tools to help you find the right mix of foods for your goals, lifestyle, and preferences.




Can I use the system if I want to be healthier and more energetic without losing weight?


Yes, definitely. Our system is designed for anyone looking to make changes to their current lifestyle to become healthier and stronger without following a restrictive or formal 'diet' and unrealistic training schedule. We truly want to add vitality and wellness in all ways! We teach you fundamental skills that lead to reaching your goals in a simple and effective way.
